THE BOXING AUTHORITY OF NSW - INDUSTRY NOTIFICATION
INDUSTRY NOTIFICATION
The Boxing Authority of NSW has placed a restriction on the number of persons accompanying any boxer from the dressing room to the ring.
Any boxer competing at any promotion is to be accompanied by the four registered corner persons displaying their ideification badge only. No additional entourage will be permitted to escort a boxer to the ring.
Failure to comply with this ruling will result in the bout of the offending boxer's corner being cancelled; all officials and the opponent will be withdrawn from that contest.
This ruling has been handed down following the serious violent situation that recently occurred and will be enforced until such time as the Boxing Authority of NSW has reviewed and ruled on those events that occurred and determined a procedure of the future.
Contestants must avoid any conduct which may provoke their opponents supporters.
